Supervise and schedule warehouse and delivery staff to ensure safe and efficient operation of all warehouse functions.
Supervise and schedule maintenance of company equipment and delivery vehicles; develops a maintenance program, both preventive and corrective.
Oversee warehouse operations to exceed expectation for productivity, daily workflow, product availability and accuracy.
Ensure that merchandise is received and store in an efficient and economical manner and maintain required records in conformance with company policies.
Supervise the proper routing, loading and preparing orders for shipment and delivery per customer instructions.
Coordinate actions with functional areas (i.e. Purchasing, Sales) to improve the effective and efficient operation of the entire Supply Chain, from vendor manufacturer to Company facilities to the final customer. This includes inter-branch transfers.
Recommend purchases of warehouse equipment and support services; keep abreast of new methods and products for improved material handling and shipping
Resolve discrepancies with Accounting and Purchasing regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiving reports. Monitors flow of paperwork from Shipping and Receiving to ensure safe keeping and recording for timely data entry.
Review and maintain departmental documentation regarding safety, security and quality processes.
Develop and analyze reports and new policies, procedures and new methods that improve efficiency; communicate results to Management.
Hire, train, and supervise a warehouse staff of approximately 10 employees.
Develop, evaluate, retain and dismiss department personnel.
Resolve delivery complaints issues quickly and effectively.
Operates warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
Attends staff meetings and product knowledge seminars as required.
Performs other tasks and duties as instructed by his supervisor and Management.
